What is TED?
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Beginning as a 4-day conference in California, TED has grown to support world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences bring together the world's leading thinkers and doers.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED created a program called TEDx. TEDx events are local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, live speakers and recorded talks combine to spark deep discussion and connection.
